This site is dedicated to not only my exploits in astro photography but also to all those like minded souls. The images in the picture gallery have been taken by me over the last 18 months or so, although my interest in astronomy as such goes back over 40 years. I like so many others can now capture excellent images far easier than our predecessors in the days of film. With the advent of the digital SLR's, cheaper CCD camera's and the relative low cost of equipment capable of producing good results, excellent images are being produced by astro photographers all over the world. Images that were near on impossible even to the professional some 10 to 20 years ago. Feel free when viewing my pictures to use these for projects etc the only thing I ask is that you acknowledge the source. My journey in astronomy over the last 40 years has involved many an adventure viewing nights, club meetings, collecting books, making telescopes, spending money on small scopes with big price tags, even trying imaging with an insta-matic film camera. My fascination with the beauty of the night sky has not diminished in all that time. I can only imagine what it will be like in 100 or 1000 years when man will venture further than our solar system to view with their own eyes the wonders we now capture in these images.
